Nav Labs Aus is an Australian brand of food safety consulting and commercial analytical testing services to the food, agricultural, water and environmental industries.


We are looking for a Business Sales development Manager to join our team. The role will be tasked with identifying, developing and managing both current and new business opportunities, by engaging in sales and marketing growth activities across a wide customer base.

The suitable person need to work with the Management Team to jointly deliver on strategic initiatives that facilitate customer retention, as well as developing and implementing the immediate and long-term strategies of the company to drive national growth.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Generate, bid and secure tender opportunities and convert company generated leads
  • Identify, develop and manage new business opportunities, including actively making sales calls and visits to prospective and existing clients
  • Provide available market intelligence by monitoring competitors’ activity, new issues and trends across industries;
  • Represent Nav Labs (Aus)at expo’s ,  trade fares and seminars to build and attract new clients;
  • Ensure timeliness of interactions, and provide the highest standard of customer service;
  • Drive continuous learning and seek to expand your knowledge of laboratory testing capabilities.


You will need to be energetic and proactive with the ability to effectively engage with other businesses to drive new and existing testing services across the four major market sectors. Ideal candidate would have a science background, coupled with sales experience and a strong network of industry contacts within similar industry.

Preferred qualifications and skills include:

  • Competent in develop and use of customer databases/CRM software,
  • 3-5 years in a sales or Business Development Manager role,
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills,
  • Experience with analytical testing (microbiological and chemical) in the food, will be desirable.
